Thoroughly expelling the cold air is crucial, as its presence can cause the internal pressure to rise without a corresponding increase in temperature.

When using a steam sterilizer, there are two methods to ensure the thorough discharge of cold air:

1. After the equipment is set up, activate the heating function while keeping the exhaust valve open. Once steam begins to escape, close the valve. Wait until the pressure gauge reads 0.05 MPa, then open the valve again until the gauge returns to zero. Repeat this process two or three times before finally closing the valve; the sterilization phase begins once the set temperature is reached.

2. After the equipment is set up, activate the heating function while keeping the exhaust valve open. Once steam begins to escape, wait approximately 5 minutes to ensure the cold air inside the sterilization chamber is fully expelled, then close the valve; the sterilization phase begins once the set temperature is reached.
