Autoclaves are essential equipment for laboratory and medical sterilization. However, they sometimes fail to achieve the desired sterilization effect during routine use due to improper operation. Paying attention to these common operational mistakes is crucial to maximizing the sterilizer's effectiveness.

Common operational errors of high pressure steam sterilizer:
1. Improper loading: Improper loading obstructs steam penetration. Items to be sterilized should not be packed too tightly or too full. When placing items, ensure they are staggered to allow for steam flow.
2. Inappropriate sterilization parameters: Incorrect sterilization method selection. For complex items, imported medical devices, implants, rigid containers, and oversized/overweight packages, follow the manufacturer's sterilization parameters.
3. Improper pretreatment of items: Ineffective cleaning affects the penetration of the sterilization medium; metal instruments are not fully disassembled; packaging materials are not suitable for steam penetration; oversized/overweight packages or packages with excessive density are used.
4. Insufficient removal of cold air: The temperature of steam in a pressure steam sterilizer depends not only on the pressure but also on the steam saturation. If cold air is not completely removed from the sterilizer, saturated steam cannot be achieved, affecting the penetration ability of high-pressure steam.
